Originally opened by Alexander Stevenson, but like the nearby Regent, it was part of the JB Milne circuit by the mid-1960s. Still seems to have been running as a cinema until the early 1980s.
Converted into the curiously spelled Ambassadeur Snooker Hall, which closed around 2006. Subsequently converted to a nighclub called Truth which opened in 2017.
