Opened in 1934, seating 456 in semi-stadium style arrangement. Closed in 1998, became a nightclub known as Oscar's. Converted in 2011 to a J.D. Wetherspoon pub called the Gordon Highlander, named after a locally-built railway locomotive. Interior has been refitted to largely hide its former cinema life.
Architect was T. Scott Sutherland.
