1 Gray's Lane, Lochee
Opened 1928 to an
atmospheric design with a Mexican exterior and a chinese interior - the
projection box was in shape of Chinese face with the lights coming out
of the eyes. Outlines of painted dragons and scrolls were still visible
on ceiling - stadium with barrel-vaulted roof. Closed 1962, then bingo.
Now derelict. Went on fire while being converted to a children's play area; now there is an application to demolish it. B-listed .
